Finally ordered Nokia 6 after waiting for 6 months

From the last 6 months, I was willing to buy a good mid-range smartphone, but I was confused. I researched on many smartphones in the market and every smartphone had its unique property, which made me confused. I first thought of purchasing Redmi Note 4, but the news which stated that Redmi Note 4 blasted in a person's pant, totally changed my thought on Redmi phones, because this was the third Redmi Note 4 blast news.

Then I focused on Moto, Lenovo and Huawei phones, these phones are quite better in terms of price and specifications (something lacks sometimes). Some thoughts came in my mind which made me purchase Nokia 6. I thought that these all are Chinese companies and we all know how long a Chinese product lasts. Besides, the after-sales service of the phones is one of the most important issues while purchasing a phone. There are many videos on YouTube which are against of the after sales service of brands like Xiaomi, Lenovo, and even Apple. I thought that I should purchase another phone from another brand.
Suddenly, a news came up which stated that Nokia 6 is going to launch in India. I was very excited to know that Nokia is back. As we all have a nostalgic feeling towards Nokia brand since we have used Nokia phones from our childhood. So, I thought It would be great to have a Nokia phone in my hand.
But after looking at the specifications of the phone, I was quite disappointed. Here are the points due to which I got disappointed:
  • Nokia 6 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor which is quite outdated nowadays.
  • The camera has no Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)
These are the only two reasons I got disappointed with the Nokia 6 smartphone. Other than these two features, everything on the Nokia 6 smartphone is very good in this price range.

What about the Processor

This year has witnessed Snapdragon processors with 600 and 800 series (like Snapdragon 625 or snapdragon 825), so having a phone with a snapdragon processor's 400 series wouldn't be fair for a person who is willing to buy a smartphone in 2017. So, I felt bad for the processor but when I searched about the processor on Qualcomm Snapdragon's official website, I found that these processors are extremely similar in specs and performance (except some) but there was a slight difference. This processor is good for battery life, medium performance and it does not cause heating in the phone, which is very good.

Afterall, I wanted a phone for social networking, blogger, WordPress and some college work. So, I changed my mind about the processor in the Nokia 6 smartphone. And about the OIS, well for me it doesn't even matter, my hand is a natural OIS.

Features of this phone

According to India Today, this phone is the best-looking smartphone under Rs. 15000, and after looking at the images of this phone, you too will say that this phone is the best-looking smartphone. It has a premium design and looks great in the Black Color (which I ordered). Its body is made of metal unibody (Aluminium) and it is very strong. Even after applying a lot of force, this phone didn't break as seen in many YouTube videos.
Some other features include:
  • Android 7.1.1 Nougat with regular updates for 2 years
  • Stock and Bloatfree android experience
  • 5.5-inch FHD IPS display with sunlight readability
  • Octa-core SD 430 processor
  • Fingerprint Sensor
  • Comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3
  • 16 MP primary PDAF sensor and 8 MP secondary AF sensor
  • NFC and 4G VoLTE support
These are some of the features of Nokia 6 which I loved.

How I ordered

After waiting for a long time, I finally ordered the phone from Amazon India. Amazon opened the registrations for this phone on 14th July 2017 and made the phone available for sale on 23rd August 2017 (today). Another sale is on 30th August 2017, you must first register to order on the another sale.
I will give detailed explanation and review on this phone on InformerFox.com official website.

Final words

Afterall, It depends on the choice of the user, whether it is a phone or anything else. A person can buy anything which suits according to his needs. Nokia 6 suits my needs, so I am purchasing this smartphone. Comment here your opinions on this phone. If you'd like to suggest me another phone, please comment below with reason.
